LOCKDOWN FIRE DEFENSE SYSTEMS was founded by Bryan Howard. Bryan is a former LAFD firefighter/paramedic who spent the last 31 years fighting fire and saving lives in the City of Los Angeles.

During his career, he has been stationed everywhere in the City of Los Angeles, and his last 13 years were spent stationed in Brentwood at Fire Station 19, and the entire surrounding Pacific Palisades area.

The Pacific Palisades/Brentwood neighborhoods that were devastated by the recent wildfires, and where so many people lost their homes, are the same neighborhoods that he responded to fires, medical emergencies, and many other kinds of calls for help for most of his career.

One of his first big incidents as a rookie back in 1994, was responding to the Northridge earthquake. Bryan and his wife actually lost their own home to the Northridge earthquake back in 1994 and had to relocate and start over just days before the birth of their first child. This personal experience of loss, combined with his connection to the fire-devastated areas, is what drives him to empower others with the ability to be prepared and ready for the next threat to their home.

After retiring, Bryan now focuses on putting his very special set of skills and talents that he cultivated over the last three decades in the LAFD to use in a new way, creating education and resources that can help prevent the loss of more homes to fire.

By putting power in the hands of homeowners, giving them the preparation and tools that can prevent and minimize losses caused by fire, Bryan hopes to help create a future where far less people suffer after the loss of their home and their irreplaceable memories.
